Anti-Flag’s 3 ex-members address Justin Sane in new statement: “fuck you for hurting so many people”
After Anti-Flag broke up in the wake of allegations of sexual assault against singer Justin Sane (which Justin denied), the other three members of the band issued a statement saying that they “have been shocked, confused, saddened and absolutely heartbroken from the moment we heard these allegations,” but added, “While we believe this is extremely serious, in the last 30 years we have never seen Justin be violent or aggressive toward women.” Since then, a report came out on Rolling Stone with 12 other women accusing Justin of sexual assault, predatory behavior, and statutory rape, and some of the women expressed discontent with the way the other three members had handled the situation.
