One year after the release of their first album, Confessions of an Unrest Drama Queen, German street punks, Meanbirds, have released their additional recordings on a new EP. Champagne For The Poor is out August 6, via Concrete Jungle Records. ‘Chapter One – The Prologue’ is exactly as advertised. It is the intro, letting us know that Meanbirds “will never be the same.” Title track, ‘Champagne for the Poor’ instantly picks up in oi! punk tradition. It’s gritty but melodic.
