Album Review: Dashboard Confessional – ‘All The Truth I Can Tell’

Baton Rouge’s Godfathers of emo, Dashboard Confessional return with ‘All The Truth I Can Tell’. The new release, out February 25th via Hidden Note Records/AWAL, is just the band’s second release since 2009, with fans of the genre pining for more of Chris Carraba and co. “Burning Heart” is a simmering opener. Classic, stripped and stripped back, fighting inner turmoil to redress the dynamics of a relationship. What strikes early on with the new collection—as the title indeed suggests—is the level of candor to which we’ll be allowed access, the barriers pulled right down throughout.
