Impulsive Hearts Announce Remaster of ‘Sorry in the Summer’ Debut via Cavity Search Records

Surfy indie-rock band Impulsive Hearts hit the Chicago music scene back in 2014 with an EP. Since fleshing those songs out with their 2016 full-length debut Sorry in the Summer, the band has evolved in the last decade, giving their first songs a new sheen with new remasters. Today, the band announces the remaster to Sorry in the Summer with the single “YKILY (2.0 Version)” via Cavity Search Records. The band has grown in the past decade while not abandoning their surfy indie-rock roots, as heard on their third album, Fit 4 The Apocalypse, last year, also on Cavity Search Records. Ever since their debut, they’ve been likened to Best Coast and Dum Dum Girls, with frontwoman Danielle Sines saying the band adds a “hint of indelible Midwestern sadness” to the band’s garage pop sound.
