Denver, CO’s Public Opinion have announced that their debut album, Painted On Smile, that is due out on September 6th via Convulse Records. The album combines the biting execution of hardcore, the primal swagger of garage rock and the widescreen hooks of 2000’s indie rock into a potent cocktail of loud rock & roll. Co-produced by Ian Shelton (Militarie Gun / Regional Justice Center) and Taylor Young (Twitching Tongues / God’s Hate), Painted On Smile takes the melodicism lurking within Public Opinion‘s primordial punk and brings it to the forefront.
