Before Hum drummer Bryan St. Pere passed away in 2021, he finished up work on the debut album by a new band he formed alongside Matt McGuyer (also currently of Mock Orange) and Alex Wallwork called Amblare. The album was produced by Hum’s Matt Talbott and mastered by Spotlights’ Mario Quintero, and its existence remained under wraps until now. It’s self-titled and due April 5 via Melodic Virtue (pre-order), and its first single “Starlight” is out now. It’s sludgy, melodic, and spacey–not unlike Hum–and it’s a treat to get the opportunity to hear what are Bryan’s final recordings. Listen and watch the video below. Tracklist 1. Starlight 2. Iridesce 3. Underest 4. Flyin’ 5. The Splits 6. Mine’d 7. Undivided 8. Weak End
