Alexisonfire announce first studio album in 13 years, Otherness

Alexisonfire have announced details of their first album in 13 years, Otherness. The follow-up to 2009’s Old Crows / Young Cardinals, the record is due out on June 24 via Dine Alone, with lead single Sweet Dreams Of Otherness out now (listen below). ​“This song was largely Dallas’ brain child, but over the course of writing this record, it became more of a mission statement for the band,” explains George Pettit. ​“It’s kind of about performance and embracing a new found confidence in a state of peculiarity.” He adds of the album as a whole: ​“As much as we love playing the old songs, we don’t want to be a nostalgia act.
