New Hampshire’s blistering dream pop/post-punk project OLD MOON is releasing a new EP In The Wasteland on Friday, January 14. The EP follows a productive 2021 for Old Moon’s Tom Weir, which saw the release of his acclaimed full length album Altars on A la Carte Records, as well as the compilation Dreamer, Sleeper on Sister Cylinder Records. In The Wasteland takes the familiar hazy post-punk of Old Moon’s discography and strips it down to it’s barest elements. Skeleton drums keep time behind somber guitar lines, slinking bass, and reflective vocals. This will be the first of three releases for Old Moon in 2022, including another EP and a second full length produced by Weekend and Soft Kill member Shaun Durkan.
