As previously announced, the surviving members of Soundgarden teamed up to play a show under the Soundgarden anagram Nudedragons–with Shaina Shepherd on vocals–marking one of the only times they’ve reunited since Chris Cornell’s 2017 death. It took place at Seattle’s Showbox on Saturday (12/14) as part of the SMooCH benefit show for Seattle Children’s Hospital, and they played five Soundgarden classics, plus a cover of “Kick out the Jams” by the MC5, whose 50th anniversary tour included Soundgarden’s Kim Thayil as a member.
