We already know that the members of Metallica have been in touch remotely throughout lockdown, with Lars Ulrich revealing back in June that they were “sending ideas to each other via email and via Zoom and [trying to] make music in these unusual situations”. But now they are happily back together in the same room, jamming and rehearsing at their headquarters. Uploading a couple of sneaky teaser videos to their Instagram stories, the band – completed by a cowboy hat-wearing James Hetfield, guitarist Kirk Hammett and bassist Rob Trujillo – can be seen running through Ride The Lightning’s iconic single Creeping Death.
