Tramlines (Day Two): Tom Grennan, English Teacher and Sprints Bring Good Vibes to Sheffield [Photos]

Saturday’s shenanigans at Tramlines Festival (our 2023 coverage is here) began gently with an opening set of spoken word, stream-of-consciousness lyrics-led tunes from local band City Parking, which made for an interesting start to the day. They were both captivating and vulnerable in equal measure. Well worth checking out. The ever-present Everly Pregnant Brothers, this time with a new frontman, brought their hilarious pastiches of well-known songs to the main stage and got a raucous response from an audience that are well-versed in all things Everly, joining in slagging off Hendersons Relish, the anthemic “Valerie” reimagined as a song about Carvery, and their nod to local legends Human League “Dunt tha wunt mi?”.
