These Were Throwaway Songs Written Out of Spite: They Still Became Punk Classics (and Proved Labels Can Sometimes Be Right)

During the spring, I presented a list of memoirs from punk rock icons that I highly recommended reading. One of the books on the list was Blink-182 frontman Mark Hoppus’s recent memoir, “Fahrenheit-182,” which I was actively reading at the time. While there are dozens of good stories worth mentioning from my reading, there is one short quip in particular that I think deserves some discussion here on Ultimate Guitar.
