The Replacements announce ‘Tim: Let it Bleed Edition’ box set – hear new mix of “Left of the Dial”

The Replacements‘ 1985 classic album Tim is getting the deluxe treatment. The Let it Bleed Edition features a brand new mix of the album by veteran producer and engineer Ed Stasium (Ramones, Talking Heads, Motörhead). Tommy “Ramone” Erdelyi’s original mix, that the Mats were always unsatisfied with, is also part of the 1-LP / 4-CD deluxe set. You can listen to Stasium’s mix of college radio ode “Left of the Dial,” which has a lot more oomph than Erdelyi’s, below. As for the rest of the Let it Bleed Edition box, it comes with a full disc of previously unheard tracks, including a 1985 session with Alex Chilton producing, and another disc featuring their full January 11, 1986 show at Chicago’s Cabaret Metro.
