The Hold Steady Announces New Album; Streams First Track

The Hold Steady has announced details for their next full length.  The album will be titled Open Door Policy and is set to be released in February 2021 through the band’s own Positive Jams label via Thirty Tigers.    Singer and guitarist Craig Finn comments on what to expect:  “Open Door Policy was very much approached as an album vs. a collection of individual songs, and it feels like our most musically expansive record … This album was written and almost entirely recorded before the pandemic started, but the songs and stories explore power, wealth, mental health, technology, capitalism, consumerism, and survival – issues which have compounded in 2020.” The album follows their previous full length, Thrashing Thu The Passion, available now via Frenchkiss Records.   The first si...
