The Damned’s classic ’80s lineup w/ Rat Scabies announce first North American tour in 35 years

As mentioned, The Damned welcomed drummer Rat Scabies back into the fold late last year, which reunites the early-’80s lineup of the punk icons who, along with Dave Vanian, Captain Sensible, and Paul Gray, gave us two of the band’s best albums, 1980’s The Black Album and 1982’s Strawberries. They’ve just announced a North American tour in late spring, which will be the first time that lineup has played here since 1989. The tour will focus on songs from Machine Gun Etiquette, The Black Album and Strawberries, plus songs from the band’s first two albums (Damned Damned Damned and Music for Pleasure, both released in 1977).
