The Cides Announce New Single “That’s Not Love”

The Cides‘ Paul Hayward was the co-founder of early UK punk band The Molesters, writing songs about social injustice, apartheid and equal rights. Decades later, he’s back at it, but punk doesn’t define his songwriting. His new single, That’s Not Love, takes us back to the era of UK post-punk, new romantic and dance rock. “It’s 1979. The Pretenders had just released Brass in Pocket and I’m totally in love with singer Chrissie Hynde. That same Summer, a love interest with a Chrissie look-alike ended in eventual betrayal. Reflecting back on those times – maybe it’s okay to have one relationship for sex and another for love?
