Founded in Chicago in 1996, The Arrivals are The Jam meets Dillinger Four in sound and spirit and have shared a member with the latter since 2005, they play a kind of working-class punk rock that’s not patriotic, not overtly populist, but thoughtful and authentic with songs that center on the lives of lower-class Americans and general disillusionment with civilization. Since 2013 The Arrivals have taken a bit of a break, focusing on their home lives and starting an array of side projects but now they ride again, they have previously announced two reunion shows to see out 2019 at Mortimer’s in Minneapolis on December 27th and at Reggies in Chicago on December 28th.
