The Armed – 「Kingbreaker」
“Kingbreaker” is a fun, mythic-sounding made-up word, and it’s also the name of the latest single from Detroit rock animals the Armed. Later this summer, the Armed will release their excellently titled new album The Future Is Here And Everything Needs To Be Destroyed, and the wild, jagged lead single “Well Made Plan” suggested we were in for some intense good times. “Kingbreaker” is further evidence that the band will make good on that promise.
「Kingbreaker（キングブレイカー）」は、神話的な響きを持つ楽しい造語であり、デトロイト出身のロックバンド The Armed による最新シングルのタイトルでもある。今夏、The Armed は『The Future Is Here And Everything Needs To Be Destroyed（未来はここにあり、すべてが破壊されなければならない）』という秀逸なタイトルの新アルバムをリリースする予定だ。先行公開された荒々しく鋭いサウンドのリードシングル「Well Made Plan（よく練られた計画）」は、このアルバムがかなり激しくエキサイティングなものになることを予感させた。
そして今回の「Kingbreaker」は、その期待が裏切られないことをさらに確信させてくれる内容となっている。
