Show Review: Ice Nine Kills + Currents at Arizona Pete’s in Greensboro, NC

Everyone with an affinity for horror films seems to have a different reason for it.  The suspense, intrigue, dramatic irony, or just the gory masterworks of classic slashers are all reasons to love the genre.  Ice Nine Kills are less of a band, and more an onstage experience of the aspects that make horror media great. While each track is directly inspired by a different work (from JAWS to Resident Evil to SAW and beyond), they bring a unique flavor to it loaded with some of the tastiest breakdowns in metalcore, and that unique edge drove an absolutely packed, sold out crowd to Arizona Pete’s on a sleepy Tuesday night.
