English singer-songwriter Sam Fender sold out Vancouver’s Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre on a night full of emotions. Geordies come from all over Metro Vancouver, wearing the classic Newcastle United black and white jersey, Fender’s home team. For this North American East Coast leg of the tour, Sam brought along the indie rock band Young Jesus. The Chicago natives brought their particular sound and lyrics to Vancouver for the first time and were excited to play along with Sam and joke around about how Sam was one of the few people who listened to their latest album, The Fool.
