Tonight was a huge night for punk and hardcore, and unsurprisingly, the iconic O2 Academy in Brixton was packed to the rafters for an equally iconic night. Following openers Spiritual Cramp, who kickstarted the evening early doors, by the time Californian post-hardcore supergroup L.S. Dunes were taking to the stage, the energy levels around the Brixton Academy were literally crackling. Led by Circa Survive frontman Anthony Green and My Chemical Romance guitarist Frank Iero, the post-hardcore troop led the assembled masses through a chaotic set, offering up efforts like “Grey Veins” to the swirling masses on the dancefloor.
