Recess Records have released Ex-Posse Vol.1, a rarities compilation from Toys That Kill that features tracks from EP’s and Compilations as well as two previously unreleased tracks. Somehow the tracks gel really well together despite being recorded over the span of almost two decades, from the 2001 split 7″ with The Ragin’ Hormones all the way to an outtake from 2020’s aborted attempt at a new album. The members of Toys That Kill are keeping themselves busy with their other bands, including Clown Sounds, Con Shoal and Jumpstarted Plowhards, so a new album isn’t looking likely but this might be even better as it’s a fresh look at the band that goes back to when they were at their freshest.
