Quicksand and former Deftones bassist Sergio Vega revealed in 2022 that he had multiple new music-related projects in the works, including a singles-based production project (that’s supposed to include a song with former Every Time I Die vocalist Keith Buckley), and while we haven’t heard much more about that, he did just launch a new band called Strict. It’s a collaboration with his wife Annette Rodriguez (who’s also a photographer who’s contributed to BrooklynVegan), and their debut single is an industrial rager called “Say It.” The pair handled programming and production together, Sergio handled guitar and backing vocals, Will Yip co-mixed, and Annette leads the song with bloodthirsty screams.
