Double Gainer has released a new single, Meeting in the Middle, off of their upcoming full length, “Such is Life,” due out May 13th. Struggle isn’t new, but these days struggle feels universal. Double Gainer was formed through the current struggle of isolation and learning to be alone. Made up of members of various CT based bands – Posture & the Grizzly, The Most, Tri State Era, and more – this project was originally just a cathartic release between friends. The newest single boasts a very catchy pop-punk-esque intro, setting the tone for the rest of the track. The first verse scales it back a little leading a high energy pre-chorus bursting into a slightly grungier version of any Real Friends / The Wonder Years song.
