Play Dead Reveal ‘Shaun’ From Upcoming Debut EP ‘Skint’

Born out of pre-pandemic bedroom boredom, Play Dead are three teenagers from London with sharp tongues and an appetite for noise influenced by The Chats, Slaves, IDLES, The Streets, Shame and Sleaford Mods. Play Dead have announced that their debut EP “Skint” will be released on the 26th March 2021 via Blitzcat Records. As a taster of the EP, the band have shared the lead single ‘Shaun‘ via digital service providers, their wry ode to bassist Ollie’s nan’s boyfriend. Commenting on the track, the band say: “It’s a story about Ollie’s nan’s boyfriend, a gentle giant with a short fuse who got arrested for punching a man off his bike in Brixton.
