Noah, NoMBe’s new EP, shares a leitmotif across its six tracks: breezy soundscapes, unrestrained energy, and sunny melodies. NoMBe explains, “All of the songs had this ‘driving’ feeling. I intentionally refer to it as a ‘Road Trip Album.’ All of these songs work well when you’re driving a car, and it’s almost like a playlist you’d make for the ride.” Raised in Germany and based in Los Angeles, NoMBe’s music falls under the umbrella of indie-pop, but even that term doesn’t fit his sound, which is singular and resists categorization.
