News: The World/Inferno Friendship Society’s Jack Terricloth has Passed Aged 50

We’re heartbroken to share the news that Jack Terricloch, frontman of The World/Inferno Friendship Society, has passed, aged 50. The band shared the news on Facebook, along with a statement that you can view below.  Jack Terricloth (real name Peter Ventantonio) was the leader of the New York cabaret-punk outfit since the mid-’90s, with over 40 musicians joining the ranks over their 25 year career. Tributes from peers and fans alike have already begun pouring in, with Laura Jane Grace saying “I do not want to believe this is true”, and Jeff Rosenstock tweeting “Rest in peace Jack Terricloth, one of the best ever to do it.
