Philadelphia screamo/post-hardcore outfit Sonagi have announced the release of their upcoming, debut album. Precedent is set for release on July 22 via Get Better Records. The band have also released a video for lead single ‘Ambivalence’, which you can watch below. Sonagi is fronted by vocalist Ryann Slauson, also behind the mic for hardcore group Closer. Slauson is joined by Harim Jung, Michael Englisis, and Keean Mansour in Sonagi, with the band most recently dropping 2020 single “Pansori.” With a sound combining familiar, angular chaos with refreshing and innovative melody, Sonagi is the romanization of the Korean word 소나기, meaning “sudden showers.” The term is often used to describe brief and heavy rain, usually on hot summer afternoons during the monsoon season...
