News: Sadeyes Joins Epitaph Records, Shares New Track, Video, ‘Unexpected’

Sadeyes, the creative persona of Portland, OR-based singer/writer/producer Nathan Lewis, combines lo-fi, alternative, emo rap, and hyperpop, and the infectiously catchy songs he makes haven’t gone unnoticed. Epitaph Records recently welcomed sadeyes to the family, just in time for the release of his new, lo-fi hip-hop single, “unexpected.” “‘Unexpected’ is about the uncertainty of falling in love,” sadeyes said. “It also deals with the struggle to understand why we cling to good things when most good things come to an end.” Alongside the track, sadeyes also shared a colorful music video directed by Max Moore.
