News: Punk Rock Bowling’s Cathy Mason and Team on Collaboration, Challenging Industry Norms

Cathy Mason has been in the world of punk rock for some time, initially starting as a bookkeeper for BYO Records, leading her to tour with acts like Manic Hispanic and Bad Religion. Soon enough, Cathy was helping out with Punk Rock Bowling, an outdoor music festival complete with a bowling tournament. Cathy tells Mable Syndrome her favorite part of working with Punk Rock Bowling is, “The women. I hand-picked them. I love that most of my team are women; it’s really important to me. I didn’t get a lot of help when I was new in this business. You were out for yourself because no one else would hire you.
