Avant psych fuzz-rockers White Hills have released a new video for their latest track, “Digital Trash.” Watch the Andy Warhol-inspired video below: The video for “Digital Trash” nods to the King of Pop Art, Andy Warhol, renowned for making the prediction that in the future, everybody would be famous for 15 minutes. Fast forward to 2021, and now one can barely hope for fifteen seconds of notoriety before drowning in a stream of endless content. The addiction of doom-scrolling and relentless documentation have become passive replacements for some of the more iconic rock ‘n’ roll habits of club culture. “Digital Trash” is taken from the New York band’s recent album, 2020’s Splintered Metal Sky, which made it onto The Quietus’ Best Psych Rock of 2020 list.
