The experimental noise/freak-rock outfit Meatbodies have announced their return with the new record, 333, alongside a new lead single and music video, “Reach For The Sunn,” and a set of tour dates. The new record reflects on re-entering the world and reflecting on how flawed it continues to be, if not more so than times past. “These lyrics are dark, but I think these are things that a lot of people are feeling and going through” Meatbodies’ Chad Ubovich says. “Here in America, we’re watching the fall of U.S. capitalism, and 333 is a cartoonish representation of that decline.” The lead single had Ubovich singing not so much about his own path, but about the bigger picture and forces greater than himself.
