Girls Against Boys, ’90s post-hardcore holdouts, will reissue their 1996 album House of GVSB as a belated 25th-anniversary celebration. The double LP release is out May 6 via Touch and Go Records. Girls Against Boys were as much an enigma of ’90s post-hardcore as they were a staple. The band started in the D.C. scene and played alongside acts such as Fugazi, The Jesus Lizard, and Jawbox but migrated to New York and spent time in the major label world. While others in the post-hardcore world gravitated toward aggression and noise, Girls Against Boys brought a greater appreciation of grooves and electronic elements to the scene.
