U.K. rockers Puppy have shared new single “…And Watched It Glow” along with the announcement of the band’s sophomore album Pure Evil, out May 6. Two prior singles, “Angel” and “The Kiss,” will also be on the new album. The new tracks point toward a continuation of Puppy’s off-kilter take on classic heavy metal. Written during the forced isolation of the pandemic, Pure Evil reflects those circumstances. “To us the whole thing feels like a time capsule of this weird limbo period, and I think that comes across on the album, or at least I hope it does,” says vocalist and guitarist Jock Norton. “Postcards from the edge or whatever.” Stream/download “…And Watched It Glow” here.
