News: Alien Weaponry Release Single and Video for ‘Hatupatu’

New Zealand metal warriors Alien Weaponry, have released their new album, Tangaroa, and their third single, “Hatupatu.” The song is about an ancestor of one of the de Jong brother’s performed in the indigenous language of te reo Māori.  Tangaroa is a record immersed in the historical and cultural heritage of the Māori with many tracks featuring traditional instruments called Taonga Puoro, giving the songs a strong, warrior-like feel and attitude.  Drummer Henry de Jong says: “The story of ‘Hatupatu’ is one Lewis and I grew up with—our father was the first person to tell us as children.
