Metallica Are Working On New Music In Lockdown

Good news! After suggesting back in April that there’s “very good chance” of a new Metallica record the longer lockdown goes on, Lars Ulrich has now revealed that the band have been exchanging ideas over Zoom and email. Speaking to Swedish talk show host Fredrik Skavlan, the drummer says that his bandmates have spent the past four weeks connecting creatively – and are now in “discovery mode” when it comes to the follow-up to 2016’s awesome Hardwired… To Self-Destruct album.
