Macseal announce new album ‘Permanent Repeat,’ share “Golden Harbor”

Long Island emo band Macseal have announced Permanent Repeat, their sophomore album and first since their 2019 debut LP Super Enthusiast, due July 12 via Counter Intuitive Records (pre-order). As the first Macseal release made with each member living in the same state, Permanent Repeat came together across weekly writing sessions in drummer Frankie Impastato’s grandmother’s basement, and was then engineered, mixed, and co-produced by Billy Mannino (Oso Oso, Ben Quad, etc). The band says they took influence from late ’90s / early 2000s pop rock artists like Fountains of Wayne, Michelle Branch, and Goo Goo Dolls for this one, and you can definitely hear those vibes coming through in the breezy, very enjoyable new single “Golden Harbor.” “‘Golden HarborR...
