Danny Wimmer-presented Kentucky festival Louder Than Life has announced its 2024 edition, happening on September 26-29 at Highland Festival Grounds at Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville. Leading the lineup is the return of Slayer, for one of the first performances they’ve announced since what they said was their “final show” in November of 2019. They perform on Friday (days after headlining Riot Fest), and rounding out the headliners are Slipknot on Thursday, Mötley Crüe on Saturday, and Korn on Sunday. The 2024 lineup spans five stages and features nearly 150 bands, ranging from heavy metal giants to small punk and hardcore bands and lots of other stuff in between.
