One of Canada’s most iconic vocalists, Lee Aaron, has gestated into a musical pioneer, not only a songwriter, producer, and entertainer but a devoted mother of two. Aaron was one of the first women to write and perform hard rock. She released her first album, The Lee Aaron Project, at 19 years old, recording with some of Canada’s top performers of that era. Lee’s sophomore release, Metal Queen (1984), established Aaron as a trailblazer for women in rock. That title track and accompanying music video set a standard for the artists who came after her.
