July Crowd were colleagues working retail in Prince George, BC, Dom Walters, Niko Stivanakis and Nic Faller‘s professional relationship blossomed into a personal one, brought together by jamming Goldfinger and Blink-182 on old electric guitars and a cheap drum set. The Canadian pop punk trio have now unveiled their new single, Intentions, along with a music video that harks back to the glory days of the genre. The band’s energetic and hook-laden brand of pop-punk marries the old school and the new, with driving guitars and massive choruses intertwining with thoughtful lyricism and a heart-on-sleeve delivery.
