In the wake of their critically acclaimed “Falling Deep” EP, Horsemeat have returned with the first of four new tracks. Wearing its political hat slightly askew, ‘Opulence‘ is a 1:25 minute rage fuelled monster that takes aim at the elite who profit from their greed, decadence, belligerence and hypocrisy. Fusing thrash drums, punk guitars and grinding basslines, ‘Opulence‘ comes out of the gates burning like magnesium ribbon, the band have picked up where they left off with “Falling Deep” and continue to blur boundaries between post punk and alternative metal, a blistering fusion of grunge, prog and punk they have termed “prunge”. ‘Opulence‘ is available via Bandcamp here and you can view the video below
