As you may have heard, Saosin‘s upcoming live album Live From The Garden Amphitheater–recorded at the band’s 20th anniversary shows in 2023 with both of their lead singers, Anthony Green and Cove Reber–features a bunch of cool covers, in addition to all of their own classic songs. We’re now premiering two of those covers: the Anthony Green-sung rendition of Sunny Day Real Estate‘s 1994 pioneering emo song “Seven,” and the Cove Reber-sung rendition of Swedish post-hardcore band Blindside‘s 2002 song “Pitiful.” Both covers are faithfully done, and also perfectly within the band’s wheelhouse.
