Green Day share video for queer anthem “Bobby Sox” ft. Zulu’s Anaiah front-flipping off a roof

Green Day‘s new album Saviors is out today (read our review), along with a video for its Weezer-y song “Bobby Sox,” a clear highlight of the show when Green Day gave it its live debut at an intimate NYC gig last night. With the lyrics “Do you wanna be my girlfriend?” and “do you wanna be my boyfriend?,” Billie Joe Armstrong has called it a “queer singalong,” and the new video (directed by Brendan Walter and Ryan Baxley) plays off those themes. It also features Anaiah Rasheed Muhammad from Zulu front-flipping off a roof into the crowd. Also among the many cameos in the video are Mila and Lucia De La Garza from Green Day’s upcoming tourmates The Linda Lindas, Violet Mayugba of Destroy Boys, and tons of others.
