Green Day perform Nirvana, Ramones and more in New Year’s Eve Coverups set

From the UK and European leg of the Hella Mega Tour finally happening, to recording a brand-new album, 2022 was another massive year for Green Day. And the band celebrated in style on New Year’s Eve, performing an awesome small show with their side-project The Coverups. Streamed live online via Green Day’s Instagram, the band hit Hollywood’s Viper Room for a two-set, 23-song covers show to kickstart their 2023. They tackled everything from The Ramones and The Replacements favourites to The Cure​’s Just Like Heaven and Nirvana​’s Drain You.
