Girls Like Us are a four piece DIY punk band with heavy grungy and riot grrrl undertones who are presently part of the Inner Magic Recordings family. They spend most weekends on the road hitting pubs, clubs, and basements anywhere and everywhere they’re invited spreading their own brand of positive feminist and trans-friendly liberalism everywhere they go. Spoonfed is the band’s first official single since becoming a four-piece following lockdown in August of 2021. It is simultaneously their most balanced and unrestrained effort to date. Drawing on post-punk, the riot grrrl movement, and the heavy end of shoegaze this song charts a new direction for the band that still fits well into their 90’s revival aesthetics and ethos.
