Foo Fighters reveal Dave Grohl accidentally called the wrong producer to make One By One

You’d have to assume that, out of everyone in the rock world, Dave Grohl​’s phonebook is probably one of the longest. It’s understandable, then, that when it came time for him to ring up a producer to work on Foo Fighters’ One By One album… well, he called the wrong guy. The hilarious mix-up was detailed in a new interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe (watch it below), with drummer Taylor Hawkins telling the story of the album’s creation and how Foos’ frontman ​“accidentally called the wrong Nick”. You see, Dave actually had Queens Of The Stone Age​’s Nick Oliveri in mind for the job, having just worked with him on their 2002 album Songs For The Deaf.
