Duane “D.O.” Gibson, a two-time Guinness World Record-setting rapper, will kick off his annual Black Canadian history “Songs of Freedom” school tour on January 8th. The tour will culminate in a virtual event on February 13th, expected to draw an audience of over 50,000 students nationwide. In conjunction with the tour, Gibson will release the Songs of Freedom EP on February 9th, produced by Beatchild (Drake, Glenn Lewis, Gary Beals) and Saukrates (Nelly Furtado, Nas, Kardinal Offishall). It will feature the Bob Marley-inspired “Redemption Song” with multiple-time JUNO nominee Ammoye.
