I’m not sure what it is about Canadian thrash punkers Propagandhi, but it always takes me a dozen or more listens to fully appreciate their albums. I’ve been a huge fan of theirs since their debut album How To Clean Everything back in 1993 but, none of their albums have immediately grabbed me, even though a few have gone on to occupy my All Time Favorite Albums List. Their most recent LP At Peace (via Epitaph Records) is no different. Is it the complexity of the music or the heaviness of the themes that demands multiple playthroughs before getting hooked?
