David Gray kicked off the first leg of his “Past and Present Tour” on Friday night at MGM Music Hall in Boston. Gray, a British musician and singer was accompanied by up-and-coming star Sierra Spirit, opening the tour for him. Spirit started off the show by performing all six songs from her EP Cointoss, along with her new single “American Pie,” which comes out January 28th. She was accompanied onstage by guitarist Christine Meisenhelter, stage name Mistine, and the two were complete magic together. Spirit’s haunting vocals and impactful lyrics seemed to really resonate with the crowd. Overall, it was a beautiful performance, especially impressive considering this is Spirit’s first-ever tour.
