Originating from small towns outside of Edmonton, AB, poppy post-hardcore band Calling All Captains are building up to the release of their debut full-length record, Slowly Getting Better, on the 29th October. The band have now shared Wasted, the latest single and video from the album, that is not necessarily a song about drinking. You can get addicted to lots of things and waste your own potential, the track may sound like one of Calling All Captains’ most upbeat singles, but it’s layered in nuance about having negative self-opinion. Calling All Captains‘ unique sound allows them to dip their toes in both the pop-punk and post-hardcore realms using poppy instrumental elements with an aggressive vocal style.
